About Stacey Kohler, MSW, LICSW
As the Acute Care Trauma Clinical Social Worker in a Social Services Department of a
prestigious hospital in Burlington, Massachusetts, She has worked with a wide range of
clients in crisis situations, and helping clients feel stable in the face of medical disasters
and traumatic loss.
She has provided years of this type of counseling with Adults and Children as they cope
with tremendous grief and loss. She has provided Reiki to cancer patients as a
complement to my hospital counseling, and have been amazed at the importance of
integrating other healing modalities into counseling.
Insurance: She takes many insurances including Blue Cross of Mass, Blue Cross of
Texas, Cigna, Aetna, Neighborhood Health Plan, Medicare, Fallon Community Health
Plan, Harvard Pilgrim Health Care, Oxford, United Behavioral Health, Coventry and a
few other plans. You may also see me under insurances if you have an out-of-network
benefit: Tufts Navigator, and Tufts PPO. Current the office does not accept HMO Blue.
You may request an out-of-network referral to this office if your insurance has this
benefit.
Private Pay: As of Jan 2010, DSM IV Mental Health diagnosis such as depression are
required by insurance companies for billing purposes, and may be used in the future to
determine patients eligibility for health insurance, life insurance and long term care
insurance. If you choose to maintain your complete privacy, and not use your insurance,
you may privately pay.
Hypnosis sessions are not covered under insurance. Most popular hypnotherapy is
public speaking, weight loss, and healing after surgery. The fee is $150.00/session.

Reiki Approach: I am aware of the many wonderful and gifted Reiki Master Teachers
and the various methods each teacher brings to their students. My focus is from a
medical social work background. I teach Reiki as a self-care tool for healing in mind,
body and spirit. Many individuals want to learn Reiki in a more private setting then a
large class. Reiki I class: $150.00 Reiki II Class: $350.00
I feel that I do an excellent job introducing students to Reiki Level I & II, and I honor
and appreciate the students that I have worked with. I have used Reiki in the hospital
setting, and have taught nurses, social workers, physicians and patients the benefits of
Reiki energy healing.
